"The Devil Defeated" is the new album from Darko The Super, entirely produced by Steel Tipped Dove. Titled after a lyric from "Spirit World Rising" by the late great Daniel Johnston. This album plays out as a bugged out coming of age journey all about finding yourself and defeating the devils of the past. The devil represents fear and paranoia. Daniel Johnston is our hero's spiritual guide. He represents light and love. A true force of inspiration. Track's like "Suzy" show the dark side, selfishness and anger. It's a story based on "Suzy's Face" a song by punk legends and Kalamazoo heroes, The Spits. While songs like "Butterflies in My Tummy" represent young love. It even details having to go to the hospital and getting stitches as a child. "The Devil Defeated" is very much a statement. Darko The Super has found his voice and in turn himself.
